Some might say, “I pay tithes and attend church and I’m still having a difficult time. Things are not adding up!”

What am I doing? Well there are a couple of things that you missed –

1.  Remember the scripture, Matthew 6:31-33 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

Remember the scripture and find yourself fulfilling it. It’s hard to do because our society today is going by the whatever you want to do theology. But if we find ourselves putting what God says first, then God will put us first.  Lets follow God wholeheartedly and steadfastly, so we really will be his people and he will be our God.

2. Remember GRACE – I’m not perfect, neither are you. But I’m doing all I can to follow God’s Word, statutes, laws and commandments. I miss His mark sometimes and you do too. That’s why you must remember GRACE! The thing that came by way of Jesus, the person who shed his blood and gave his life for us, grace is the element from God that keeps us when we misstep, keeps us when we fall and holds us until we repent. The reason why we must remember GRACE is because your enemy, the devil, will use your mistakes against you, make you feel like a failure and fill you with fear. But God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of love, and of power, and of a sound mind.

It’s in fulfilling the scripture and remembering GRACE, not misusing it, but understanding that you have it from the Father, by Jesus Christ, and not taking on the spirit of fear or failure – that we overcome and have victory in Jesus the Christ of God!
